About This Organization:
Pioneer Gun Club (PGC) was formed in the far eastern area of Kansas City, MO in 1940. The area, then rural countryside, allowed the founding members to have a self regulated place to safely fire their firearms for practice, relaxation and personal enjoyment. At the same location since its initial inception, Pioneer has had the distinction of never having a firearms related injury accident. The membership of Pioneer is made up of the most incredible mix of men and women that could be imagined. Literally every profession is represented in our membership. Every age group from pre-teen youths to retirees is represented. While the vast majority of our members are located in the Kansas City metropolitan area, many members reside in the rural and out-state areas. Several members live in other states.
