Title: FIREARM OWNERS ID-EXPIRED
Description: Amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act. Provides that a holder of a Firearm Owner's Identification Card which has expired, who is not ineligible for a Firearm Owner's Identification Card under the Act, and who has submitted the application and supporting documentation to the Department of State Police to renew the Firearm Owner's Identification Card, but has not received the renewed Firearm Owner's Identification Card within 30 days as prescribed by the Act is not criminally liable for any offense an element of which is not having a currently valid Firearm Owner's Identification Card. Provides that nothing in this provision shall be construed to permit a person to purchase or receive another firearm or ammunition that he or she does not currently possess by presenting to the seller or transferor of the firearm or ammunition an expired Firearm Owner's Identification Card. Effective immediately.
