Legislation Overview
Title: Handgun licenses and alcohol. Repeals references to "alcohol abuser" for purposes of determining who is a proper person to receive a license to carry a handgun. Makes conforming amendments. Provides that, during an interview with an applicant concerning a license to carry a handgun or in an application form submitted by an applicant to obtain a license to carry a handgun, the applicant may not be questioned about any criminal convictions the applicant may have for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol in violation of the law concerning operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
