Title: Concealed weapons; authorize license holders to carry on campuses of higher education institutions.

Description: An Act To Create New Section 45-9-102, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The Carrying Of Concealed Weapons On The Campuses Of The State Institutions Of Higher Learning, Community And Junior Colleges, And Private And Independent Institutions Of Higher Education; To Prohibit Those Institutions From Adopting Policies Restricting The Carrying Of Concealed Weapons On Campus; To Require Each State Institution Of Higher Learning To Adopt And Publish Rules And Regulations Regarding The Carrying Of Concealed Weapons On Campus; To Amend Section 45-9-101, 45-9-53 And 97-37-17, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity To The Preceding Provisions; To Bring Forward Section 97-37-1, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Establishes Criminal Penalties For Carrying Concealed Deadly Weapons, And Section 97-37-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Authorizes Certain Persons To Obtain A Permit For Carrying Deadly Weapons, For Purposes Of Possible Amendment; And For Related Purposes.
