Title: AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8; Title 10; Title 33; Title 36; Title 38; Title 39; Title 40; Title 49; Title 50 and Title 70, relative to firearms.
Subject: Firearms and Ammunition
Description: As introduced, deletes the offense of unlawful carrying with intent to go armed, deletes the prohibition on carrying after a domestic assault conviction; deletes the offense of a juvenile knowingly possessing a handgun; creates the offense of a juvenile carrying a weapon with the intent to go armed, with certain exceptions; allows a person with a permit to carry a firearm in all places within this state that an off-duty law enforcement officer is permitted to carry a firearm; prohibits implementation of any federal firearms law rather than just unconstitutional ones; makes various other changes to the issuance of an enhanced handgun carry permit. - Amends TCA Title 8; Title 10; Title 33; Title 36; Title 38; Title 39; Title 40; Title 49; Title 50 and Title 70.
