A nice little family business
I had to answer no to a bunch of the questions because it's a small place. But, it's also a very friendly place, and most of the clientele knows each other and is friends with the owner. The business was sold within the past year, and is under new management, which is kind of a shame, because I was good friends with the old owner, who was really helpful.
So, it's got a lot of hunting rifles and the like, and a fair selection of other stuff, but it's not nearly as extensive as my other favorite LGS (which, to be fair, probably has a better selection than most gun stores out there). One of the best parts about Rocky Mountain Guns and Ammo is that they sell various things on consignment. Need to move a gun or something similar? You can sell it through them, for a percentage of the sale. I've also done partial trades for guns or parts with the former owner. They have the best prices in the area, and you can even sometimes save some on online prices.
What I don't like as much is that the store has limited hours, and sometimes just doesn't open, without warning. That may not be true anymore under the new management, but it was certainly a problem in the past. Regardless, it's a good place to go and chat with like-minded folks, and it's a friendly but close-knit community.
