Good Egg in a Mediocre Carton
The Rancho Cucamunga branch of Turners is the only location of this chain I will still shop at. While the rest of the stores seem to be staffed with individuals who simply want to make the sale and go home, the Rancho store, probably due to it's location adjacent to the corporate headquarters, is a MUCH more helpful environment. They have gone to great lengths to smooth over some problems I've had, have tracked down some oddball items I was looking for, and have never made me feel like I needed to hurry up and get out of their hair. There is one particular woman there, Heather, who really distinguished herself as being one of the HELPFUL and knowledgeable staff members I can recall meeting at a gun store.
Turners seeming reluctance to do PP or Out of State transfers, and the awkwardness of their special order process still make this a place I wouldn't try to buy anything they didn't have actually ON THE SHELF though.
Very competitive prices though. I had one staff member OFFER unasked to price-match something once. That's never happened at another Turners location.
All in all, this is a gun store I stop in whenever I'm in the area, and the only reason I check Turners sales fliers, but it IS a chain, and has the problems inherent therein.
