Directions:
Houston via I-45 South: Take exit 16 (Emmett F. Lowry Expressway). Follow 9 miles to Bay Street (dead ends). Turn left on Bay Street and go 2 miles (Bay Street forks 1 mile to right; stay right) to entrance, turn left into shooting range.
Baytown, Kemah, etc. via Highway 146: Take exit for Hwy 1764 (Palmer), turn left at traffic light. Follow 3.5 miles to Bay Street (dead ends). Turn left on Bay Street and go 2 miles (Bay Street forks 1 mile to right; stay right) to entrance, turn left into shooting range.
Galveston via I-45 North: Take exit 7A (Texas City Hwy 146 / Hwy 3) and veer to right on Loop 197. Continue following until you curve back to the left onto 6th Street. Follow to 9th Avenue North, turn right at traffic light, and follow to Bay Street (dead ends). Turn left on Bay Street and go 2 miles (Bay Street forks 1 mile to right; stay right) to entrance, turn left into shooting range.
Range Rules:
Following are the field rules for Rifle and Pistol.
1. Weapons must be unloaded with the breech open when brought on the range, or while persons are down range.
2. Do not handle weapons while people are down range.
3. Shooting prohibited except during officially supervised hours.
4. Intoxicants and horseplay are prohibited.
5. Shoot at approved targets only.
6. Illegal weapons are prohibited.
7. Must follow the Rangemaster's directions and announcements of "Fire" and "Cease Fire."
8. Shooting intervals are 15 minutes or at the discretion of the Rangemaster.
9. Shoot only from the firing line, and respect the rights of others.
10. Notify the Rangemaster for any assistance or for any malfunction that might have occurred.
11. Do not go down range unless told to do so by the Rangemaster.
12. No holsters allowed at the range.
13. Empty brass becomes property of the Texas City Municipal Shooting Range, but you may collect your own brass.
14. Weapons must be pointed down range at all times.
15. Do not point any weapon at any person whether the weapon is loaded or unloaded.
16. Keep the action open and the gun unloaded until ready to use.
17. Know how the gun operates.
18. Be sure your gun and ammunition are compatible.
19. Be sure of your target and what is beyond.
20. The Texas City Municipal Shooting Range recommends that you wear eye and ear protection to prevent injury while shooting, but it is not mandatory.
21. The Texas City Municipal Shooting Range will not be responsible for any accidental injuries, lost items, defective or malfunctions of weapons or ammunition.
22. Positive identification is required.
23. Rangemaster has the authority to evict anyone from the shooting range for any violation of these rules without refund.
24. No profane or abusive language.
25. Shoes and shirt must be worn.
26. All minors 17 years or younger will be accompanied by a parent or guardian. While the minor is firing or handling a firearm, the parent or guardian shall start within the immediate area and shall not fire or handle another firearm.
Following are the rules for Skeet and Trap Field and 5 Stand.
1. Breech or action must be open at al times unless you are on a shooting station.
2. Two rounds may be loaded for all shooting stations except station #8.
3. All squad members shooting will complete high house station number 8 before anyone shoots the low house station #8.
4. Must shoot at least a number 7-12 (1-1/8) shot shell.
5. Squads are limited to five shooters. There will be no exceptions.
6. No new skeet/trap rounds will be started 30 minutes prior to the fields being closed.
7. Shooting prohibited except during officially supervised hours.
8. Intoxicants and horseplay are prohibited.
9. Illegal weapons are prohibited.
10. Must follow Shooting Range employee's instructions.
11. Shoot only from the firing line and respect the rights of others.
12. Notify the Rangemaster for any assistance or for any malfunction that might have occurred.
13. Any complaints should be directed to the Rangemaster.

Texas City Gun Range
The Range is ok and people are good. Not much of a rifle range though. Only 100 yards. Just good for sighting in that is all.
