AN ACT

 

Amending title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 9-500.34; relating to municipalities.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 9-500.34, to read:

START_STATUTE9-500.34.  Prohibition on pawnbroker transaction fees or taxes

Notwithstanding any other law, a city or town may not impose a fee, tax or assessment on a pawnbroker or person in the business of buying gold in connection with any reportable transaction. END_STATUTE
