Section 111.076, Florida Statutes, is created 6 to read: 7 111.076 Right to elective office.—A person who has 8 completed all terms of sentence for a felony conviction for an 9 offense other than murder or a felony sexual offense and who has 10 his or her voting rights restored pursuant to s. 4, Art. VI of 11 the State Constitution is entitled to qualify for and hold 12 elective office in this state. 13 Section 78. If any provision of this act or an act passed 14 by the Legislature relating to the implementation of s. 4, 15 Article VI of the State Constitution is held to be invalid, the 16 invalidity does not affect the provisions of this act which can 17 be given effect without the invalid provision or application, 18 and to this end this act is severable. 19 20 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 21 And the title is amended as follows: 22 Delete line 428 23 and insert: 24 made by the act; creating s. 111.076, F.S.; specifying 25 that a person who has had voting rights restored 26 pursuant to s. 4, Art. VI of the State Constitution is 27 entitled to qualify for and hold elective office; 28 providing for severability; providing effective dates.
