Amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act. Provides that the fees for a new and renewal concealed carry license of an applicant who is a veteran or a qualified retired law enforcement officer shall be 50% of the fees for other applicants. Defines "qualified retired law enforcement officer" and "veteran".

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Firearm Concealed Carry Act is amended by |
5 | | changing Section 60 as follows:
|
6 | | (430 ILCS 66/60)
|
7 | | Sec. 60. Fees. |
8 | | (a) All fees collected under this Act shall be deposited as |
9 | | provided in this Section. Application, renewal, and |
10 | | replacement fees shall be non-refundable. |
11 | | (b) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b-5), an An |
12 | | applicant for a new license or a renewal shall submit $150 with |
13 | | the application, of which $120 shall be apportioned to the |
14 | | State Police Firearm Services Fund, $20 shall be apportioned to |
15 | | the Mental Health Reporting Fund, and $10 shall be apportioned |
16 | | to the State Crime Laboratory Fund. |
17 | | (b-5) An applicant for a new license or a renewal who is a |
18 | | veteran or a qualified retired law enforcement officer shall |
19 | | submit $75 with the application, of which $60 shall be |
20 | | apportioned to the State Police Firearm Services Fund, $10 |
21 | | shall be apportioned to the Mental Health Reporting Fund, and |
22 | | $5 shall be apportioned to the State Crime Laboratory Fund. |
23 | | (c) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (c-5), a A |

3 | | apportioned to the State Police Firearm Services Fund, $40 |

5 | | $10 shall be apportioned to the State Crime Laboratory Fund. |
6 | | (c-5) A non-resident applicant for a new license or a |
7 | | renewal who is a veteran or a qualified retired law enforcement |
8 | | officer shall submit $150 with the application, of which $125 |
9 | | shall be apportioned to the State Police Firearm Services Fund, |
10 | | $20 shall be apportioned to the Mental Health Reporting Fund, |
11 | | and $5 shall be apportioned to the State Crime Laboratory Fund. |
12 | | (d) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (e), a A |
13 | | licensee requesting a new license in accordance with Section 55 |
14 | | shall submit $75, of which $60 shall be apportioned to the |
15 | | State Police Firearm Services Fund, $5 shall be apportioned to |
16 | | the Mental Health Reporting Fund, and $10 shall be apportioned |
17 | | to the State Crime Laboratory Fund.

18 | | (e) A licensee who is a veteran or a qualified retired law |
19 | | enforcement officer requesting a new license in accordance with |
20 | | Section 55 shall submit $37.50, of which $30 shall be |
21 | | apportioned to the State Police Firearm Services Fund, $2.50 |
22 | | shall be apportioned to the Mental Health Reporting Fund, and |
23 | | $5 shall be apportioned to the State Crime Laboratory Fund. |
24 | | (f) In this Section: |
25 | | "Qualified retired law enforcement officer" means a |
26 | | qualified retired law enforcement officer as defined in the |
