1		HOUSE RESOLUTION
2		WHEREAS, Truven Health Analytics has released its Top 100
3		Hospitals award annually since 1993; and
4		WHEREAS, The Truven Health 100 Top Hospital program
5		utilizes independent and objective research to guide hospital
6		and health system performance; and
7		WHEREAS, Hospitals do not apply or pay for this prestigious
8		recognition, nor do they pay to promote their award; and
9		WHEREAS, Award-winning hospitals and health systems have
10		shown that better care is possible and will serve as an example
11		for hospitals to follow nationwide; and
12		WHEREAS, The 100 Top Hospitals award winners demonstrate
13		top performance on both how patients are cared for through
14		clinical measures and how the hospital performs as an efficient
15		business; and
16		WHEREAS, HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital, located in Breese, is
17		an award-winning, acutecare hospital, providing complete
18		inpatient, obstetric, surgical, and outpatient facilities; and
19		WHEREAS, St. Joseph's Hospital provides state-of-the-art

1		equipment and facilities and medically-based fitness training
2		and rehabilitation therapies, enabling individuals to live
3		healthier lifestyles and actively participate in improving
4		their health; and
5		WHEREAS, Rep. Charlie Meier's nephew, Dr. Josh Knolhoff,
6		serves as a general surgeon at St. Joseph's Hospital; and
7		WHEREAS, As part of Hospital Sisters Health System, St.
8		Joseph's Hospital offers a "continuum of care" to the patients
9		and families they serve; by leveraging the strengths of their
10		14-hospital system, patients in St. Joseph's rural hospital are
11		able to receive care that was once available only in large,
12		urban medical centers; and
13		WHEREAS, Truven Health Analytics honors hospitals with the
14		"Everest Award" for achieving both the highest current
15		performance and the fastest long-term improvement over 5 years;
16		and
17		WHEREAS, Truven Health Analytics recently awarded HSHS St.
18		Joseph's Hospital the 2015 Everest Award; therefore, be it
19		RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20		NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
21		recognize HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital for its achievements and

1		exemplary work resulting in obtaining the Truven Health
2		Analytics 100 Top Hospitals "2015 Everest Award"; and be it
3		further
4		RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
5		presented to HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital and the HSHS Medical
6		Group as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
