2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Aurilee "Lee" J. Schenck | ||||||
4 | on the occasion of her 50 years of dedicated service as a Rock | ||||||
5 | Island community banker; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Aurilee Schenck's entire professional career has | ||||||
7 | been devoted to serving the financial requirements of Rock | ||||||
8 | Island customers at 2 Rock Island banks; she began her career | ||||||
9 | in 1965 as a clerk, manually sorting customers' paper checks | ||||||
10 | presented for payment before the introduction of automated | ||||||
11 | processes at the former Rock Island Bank and Trust Company; she | ||||||
12 | was subsequently promoted to the positions of Bookkeeping | ||||||
13 | Supervisor and Operations Officer; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, In the early 1970s, the Rock Island Bank and Trust | ||||||
15 | Company changed its name to The Rock Island Bank; Aurilee | ||||||
16 | Schenck continued to serve in various officer capacities at the | ||||||
17 | bank, including Personnel Officer, Customer Service Officer, | ||||||
18 | and Assistant Vice President Branch Manager in 1985; she became | ||||||
19 | the first female Vice President of the bank when the Board | ||||||
20 | appointed her to serve as Vice President of Retail Banking; | ||||||
21 | from 1993 to 1998, she served as the bank's Vice President of | ||||||
22 | Community and Employee Relations; after the bank was sold in | ||||||
23 | November of 1998, she joined American Bank and Trust Company, |

1 | N.A. in May of 1999; she currently serves as an Assistant Vice | ||||||
2 | President/Personal Banker at American Bank and Trust Company's | ||||||
3 | Rock Island Hilltop office and as Branch Manager of the Rock | ||||||
4 | Island Friendship Manor office; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Over the years, Aurilee Schenck has been very | ||||||
6 | involved in her community; she served as President of the local | ||||||
7 | Quad Cities chapter of the Bank Administration Institute, a | ||||||
8 | board member of the Rock Island Chamber of Commerce and a | ||||||
9 | Chamber Ambassador for 20 years at various events, a board | ||||||
10 | member of the Administrative Management Society, Bethany Home, | ||||||
11 | Hearts & Hammers, and the Quad Cities United Way, a 27-year | ||||||
12 | member of the Rock Island Kiwanis Club and the Club's first | ||||||
13 | woman president, and a volunteer mentor of children with the | ||||||
14 | local Big Brothers/Big Sisters program for 10 years; she was | ||||||
15 | also recognized by the City of Rock Island in an announcement | ||||||
16 | on August 12, 2015 as a co-winner in the individual | ||||||
17 | professional category for the City's annual Citizen of the Year | ||||||
18 | awards; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Aurilee Schenck serves as a model of hard work, | ||||||
20 | integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of | ||||||
21 | Illinois; therefore, be it
| ||||||
22 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
23 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |

1 | congratulate Aurilee "Lee" J. Schenck on the occasion of her 50 | ||||||
2 | years of dedicated service and wish her continued success and | ||||||
3 | happiness in the future; and be it further

4 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
5 | presented to Aurilee Schenck as a symbol of our esteem and | ||||||
