       AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
         allowing the use of rifles for hunting in Rockland county
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
    2  of the environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 231 of  the
    3  laws of 2012, is amended to read as follows:
    4   (i) The counties of      Deer, the first Monday  Pistol, shotgun,
    5    Allegany, Cattaraugus,  after November 15       muzzle loading
    6    Cayuga, Chautauqua      through first Tuesday   firearm, rifle or
    7    except that portion     after December 7        long bow only
    8    of the county north
    9    of route 20, Chemung,
   10    Chenango, Herkimer,
   11    Madison,
   12    Montgomery, Oneida,
   13    Oswego, Otsego,
   14    ROCKLAND,
   15    Schoharie, Schuyler,
   16    Steuben, Tioga,
   17    Wyoming and Yates
   18    and that portion of
   19    the county of
   20    Broome east of the
   21    Susquehanna river
   22    S  2.  Item  (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of
   23  the environmental conservation law, as separately amended by chapter 441
   24  of the laws of 2009 and chapter 231 of the laws of 2012, is  amended  to
   25  read as follows:
        EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                             [ ] is old law to be omitted.

   16  the environmental conservation law, as amended by  chapter  600  of  the
   17  laws of 2005, is amended to read as follows:
   18  (i) The counties of       Deer and bear, the      Pistol, shotgun,
   19    Allegany, Cattaraugus,  first Monday after      muzzle loading
   20    Chenango, Herkimer,     November 15 through     firearm, rifle or
   21    Montgomery, Oneida,     first Tuesday after     long bow only
   22    Oswego, Otsego,         December 7
   23    ROCKLAND,
   24    Schoharie and Tioga
   25    and that portion
   26    of the county
   27    of Broome east of the
   28    Susquehanna river
   29    S  4. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that the amend-
   30  ments to item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907  of
   31  the environmental conservation law made by section one of this act shall
   32  be  subject  to  the  expiration  and reversion of such item pursuant to
   33  chapter 321 and section 3 of  chapter  326  of  the  laws  of  2011,  as
   34  amended,  when  upon such date the provisions of section two of this act
   35  shall take effect; and provided further that the amendments to item  (i)
   36  of  paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of the environmental
   37  conservation law made by section two of this act shall be subject to the
   38  expiration and reversion of such paragraph pursuant  to  section  13  of
   39  chapter  600  of  the  laws of 1993, as amended, when upon such date the
   40  provisions of section three of this act shall take effect.
