R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The city of Socorro has greatly benefited from the |
|
|
dedicated efforts of City Council Representative Sergio Cox; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A Socorro resident since 1966, Representative Cox |
|
|
had a distinguished 26-year career with the El Paso Police |
|
|
Department; he first joined the city council as the at-large |
|
|
representative in 2006, and he was elected as District 1 |
|
|
representative in November 2013; during his tenure in municipal |
|
|
government, his knowledge and expertise in a wide range of |
|
|
community issues have earned him the respect of many people; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|
|
life for their fellow citizens in numerous ways, and the efforts of |
|
|
Sergio Cox are helping to make Socorro an even better place in which |
|
|
to live and work; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Socorro City Council Representative |
|
|
Sergio Cox for his exemplary public service and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Cox as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
