R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated businesses are vital to |
|
the prosperity of Texas, and One Minute Manicure of Houston has |
|
contributed to the economy of the Bayou City for nearly two decades; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, The mother of two, Rosie Herman wanted to find a way |
|
to work from home, and she developed and marketed her own handmade |
|
proprietary skin treatment product; founded in 1998, One Minute |
|
Manicure has grown over the past 17 years, and it expanded |
|
nationally in 2001; and |
|
WHEREAS, Today, Mrs. Herman and her husband, Neal, oversee |
|
operations at the company's 20,000-square-foot warehouse in |
|
Houston, where a diverse array of products are manufactured and |
|
distributed; the company's success has been recognized in a number |
|
of well-known publications, including O, Time, People, and Money |
|
magazines; and |
|
WHEREAS, One Minute Manicure is truly a Texas success story, |
|
and Mr. and Mrs. Herman may indeed take great pride in their many |
|
achievements and their company's notable growth; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Rosie and Neal Herman on their |
|
accomplishments as owners of One Minute Manicure and extend to them |
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Herman as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
