R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help to comfort |
|
those saddened by the death of Daniel E. Banda of Mount Pleasant on |
|
May 25, 2015, at the age of 78; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Francisco and Petra Banda, Daniel Banda |
|
was born in Wichita Falls on November 22, 1936, and grew up in a |
|
large family with 11 brothers and sisters; devoted to his faith, he |
|
was a retired minister of Iglesia Bautista Betel Church in Dallas, |
|
where he had guided the congregation as pastor for 18 years; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Banda was joined in marriage on June 29, 1963, |
|
to the former Alicia Bayona, and they went on to enjoy more than |
|
five decades together; the couple became the parents of three |
|
children, Bryan, Marisa, and Daniel, and they were further blessed |
|
with four grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those who were fortunate enough to share in the |
|
friendship and love of Daniel Banda will always remember him with |
|
great admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Daniel E. Banda and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, |
|
Alicia Banda; to his children, Bryan Daniel Banda and Marisa Elaine |
|
Banda; to his grandchildren, Larissa Danielle Banda, Bryan Daniel |
|
Banda Jr., Arsedalia Rodriguez, and Marivet Mejia; to his brothers, |
|
Pete Banda and his wife, Juana, and Frank Banda and his wife, |
|
Vickie; to his sisters, Josefina Ceballos and Esther Rangel; and to |
|
his other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Daniel E. |
|
Banda. |
