R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Josh Schroeder has been named the 2014 Citizen of |
|
the Year by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce; and |
|
WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Mr. Schroeder, an |
|
attorney with Sneed, Vine, and Perry, volunteers with many |
|
worthwhile organizations in the city; he currently serves as chair |
|
of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Booster Club, and he is on |
|
the board of Brookwood in Georgetown, a community for adults with |
|
disabilities; additionally, he is active with the local Boys and |
|
Girls Club, and after serving on the Zoning Board of Adjustment, he |
|
is the commissioner-in-training for the Georgetown Planning and |
|
Zoning Commission; and |
|
WHEREAS, Previously, Mr. Schroeder was a board member of the |
|
Downtown Rotary Club, and he was president of the board of The |
|
Caring Place and Georgetown Partners in Education; in all his |
|
endeavors, he enjoys the love and support of his wife, Ashley, and |
|
their two sons; and |
|
WHEREAS, The vitality of a city depends in large measure on |
|
the dedication and leadership of its residents, and Josh Schroeder |
|
is setting an example of civic engagement to which others may |
|
aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Josh Schroeder on being named the |
|
2014 Citizen of the Year by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and |
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Schroeder as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
