Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 9.1-140.01 as follows:

§9.1-140.01. Exemption from training requirements; central station dispatchers employed by UL listed central stations.

Central station dispatchers employed by a UL listed central station shall be exempt from the training requirements of this article. As used in this section, "UL listed central station" means an alarm monitoring facility that has been certified as meeting the standards promulgated by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.
